Take the typical personification of nature that we know as Mother Nature and give it a few twist:
1) Theme: pick an asian culture or subculture i.e. Mongolia or Thai or Japanese Folklore. Apply the clothing or motif or _____ to your characters.
2) Hierarchy: She or he (does not have to be a female) must have some underlings or minions. At least one (sub) level of underlings but would be cool to see more. Think of Darth Vader and all of his subordinates or the wicked witch in Wizard of Oz and her flying monkeys.

Draw it, paint it, notes, call outs, etc... whatever communicates your concept!
Consider the body type, pose, and your character's inner dialogue or personality
Remember it's a sketch. Not everything has to be fleshed out but rather indicated with a focal area or two. An ideal sketch should feel quick or impressionistic but still have just enough clarity to get the idea across. Would I show this to an Art Director? Would he/she get it?
